Must Watch Movies of January and February 2019
February is almost over. We get so busy in our lives, working and stuff, and before you know it, two months have flown by so quickly. All the movies we were looking forward to watch are already out of the theaters. So I've compiled a list of all the movies that are still hopefully in theaters near you, and deserve the theater watching experience!
1. URI- The Surgical Strike
Vicky Kaushal is on fire! Uri, directed by Aditya Dhar, released on 11th Jan and is still going strong in the theaters. It's already collected Rs 230 crore at the box office. The movie is based on the September 2016 surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army against the terror launchpads in Pakistan across the line of control in Kashmir. And after the Pulwama attack, it seems that more people are going to watch the film in the theaters. So if you haven't seen it yet, you've still got time!
2. Gully Boy
There has been soooo much Ranveer Singh recently, with Simba and the #deepveer wedding, that i felt that I was completely Ranveered out, that is until I saw the Gully Boy trailer. Zoya Akhtar, who I LOVE, directed this movie which has gotten only good reviews by the critics and the audience alike! If you're a fan of rap, then you should have seen this movie by now, and if you're curious about it, then go for this film. Also, if you want a preview of the rap music....
3. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
Kangana Ranaut is a QUEEN! Her acting is always flawless! Personally, I found the film a little boring in the beginning, but once the movie kicks in, it's fun to watch, especially the battle scenes. The cinematography and the VFX effects are mind-blowing, except at the end (I don't know what happened exactly). But it's a great film about Rani Laxmibai and Kangana Ranaut does a great job playing her.
4. A Star Is Born
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in a film! The romance and chemistry shown by the actors in this #oscar nominated film is amazing! Don't believe me, just check out Cooper and Gaga singing their oscar nominated song Shallow, at the Oscars. Watch it till the end!
Yeah, that's the look they gave each other at the end. See the chemistry now?
5. Bohemian Rhapsody
This oscar nominated movie is about Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British Rockband Queen. The film also stars Rami Malek, who just won his first Oscar for Best Actor Male for this movie. And if you haven't heard of this band, I'm sure you've heard of their hit song We Will Rock You. Check out the song and trailer below!
So don't wait for them to come on TV or Netflix and Amazon, go watch them in theaters today to get a fuller experience! Trust me, it's more fun to watch these films on a huge screen with great sound, than on a small TV at home.
